Since I was a baby, Mommy and Daddy would rock me to sleep in their arms. When I got bigger and heavier, they get tired quicker. So, Auntie Janice suggested that I begin sleep training. As a first step, Mommy and Daddy stopped holding me. I would lay down in their bed, with Mommy by my side, and “learn” how to fall asleep by myself. That turned out to be very easy… I mastered it on the second day. Four weeks later, I started the second step of sleep training. At bedtime, Mommy and Daddy would bring me to my crib, kiss me goodnight, and leave the room. That turned out to be just as easy… it takes me 10 minutes to fall asleep now. The only problem is that I like to sleep on my tummy. Every night, Mommy and Daddy would worry and wonder if they should turn me around. Oh well, I think they are just grateful that I’m still sleeping through the night, every night!

Happy Birthday Mommy!
November 8, 2009 · Leave a Comment
It’s Mommy’s birthday, and we pampered her all day! First, I let Mommy sleep in until 8am after an 11-hours overnight sleep. Then, Daddy came home and cooked her breakfast. In the afternoon, Auntie Tabitha came over with a chocolate mousse cake, and she played with me so Mommy got a break.

Daddy and Auntie Tabitha cooked a wonderful meal for Mommy to celebrate her birthday! They made seafood paella, one of Mommy’s favorite dish! We all had a great time!

My first “boo boo”
November 1, 2009 · Leave a Comment
I guess I can get quite slippery after a bath, especially if body lotion is involved. You see, I was sitting on the changing table when Mommy put lotion on my back. I decided to reach for something and lunged forward. Mommy’s hands were full of lotion, and she couldn’t catch me in time. I fell face first onto the pump of the lotion bottle. I was stunned for a second, then I started crying at the top of my lungs!
To be honest, it didn’t hurt that much. But Mommy has never heard me scream like that, she felt so bad. I think she cried more than I did…poor Mommy!

Pumpkin Patch

I had been sick the whole week but recovered just in time to join Auntie Janice and Cousin Ella at the Pumpkin Patch. Boy, there were a lot of things to see, touch, and explore! The sun was bright, and the place was noisy with kids and music. But we had a good time!

When Grandpa Gung-Gung visits, we would usually go out for lunch. This time, we had dim sum. Mommy finally remembered to bring the camera and took a few pictures.

New favorite seat: Daddy’s shoulders
October 15, 2009 · Leave a Comment
I have found a new, fun place to sit… Daddy’s shoulders! Mommy would not let him stand up from the couch (just yet), I think she’s afraid that Daddy would drop me by accident. I wish I can tell her not to worry, Daddy is holding on really tight. Look how much fun I’m having!

October 11: Seven-Months!

7 months old
At seven-months old, I’ve hit quite a number of milestones. I can sit up by myself, stand holding on to someone, eat lots of solid food, grasp small objects (I especially love cell phones), reach out for toys, plays lots of peeaboo, object when Mommy takes my toy away, grow my first tooth (yup, it’s getting here!), put everything in my mouth, and attempt to talk (OK, so it’s only babbling)!
